I have been giving piano lessons full-time for the past 14 years. I taught for 7 years in central New Jersey and 7 years here in the Wellington-West Palm Beach area of Palm Beach County Florida.
I have a BA degree from Rutgers University and an M.A from Kean University. I have also studied pedagogy at Westminster Choir College of New Jersey in addition to studying myself with several master teachers throughout my teaching career I am a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and I always strive to grow both professionally and personally throughout my life. I believe that we never stop learning both as students.. and as teachers.
I start teaching students at a very young age ( Age 4) and I have watched children blossom into highly skilled, creative and talented pianists as well as thriving and truly amazing young adults. I am a dedicated and patient teacher and I want all of my students to feel comfortable, important, and inspired when studying with me.
I am very aware that each student has a different style of learning and is truly unique in his or her own way. I am very aware of this as a teacher and I tailor my teaching to the needs of each student. I incorporate music theory, technique, note reading, ear training, and rhythm in my lessons with students.
I keep each lesson very structured so that we can fit everything into the lesson in the allotted time frame. I am a patient, sensitive, highly skilled, and understanding teacher. It is also very important to me that each student has a truly enjoyable and positive experience at my studio. I hold an annual recital for the students of the studio annually in the spring. This is truly a lovely event that all of the students look forward too!!
